WHAT YOU NEED:

Lives, Love, Spirit, True and Sent, Faith, Spirit, Can - each word on a paper

(use picture/word printable bells - see #3 below with link to blog post).

HOW TO USE:

Bear your testimony of Heavenly Father’s love for you. Then have four helpers hold the words Lives, Loves, Spirit, and True, printed on separate papers. Ask them to stand in different corners of the room (out of order) and repeat their word. Instruct the children to stand, and as they listen to you sing the phrases in the first verse, turn to face the word you’re singing about, and echo the phrase. Repeat, having them sing each phrase with you as the helpers hold their signs up high. Let the children tell the helpers where to stand up front, in order, and sing the verse again. Repeat the process with the second verse using the words Sent, Faith, Spirit, and Can.

8. I KNOW MY FATHER LIVES CROSSWORD

WHAT YOU NEED:

Prep - draw crossword puzzle on the board before singing time

Crossword Puzzle Picture Visuals

Crossword Puzzle Answer Key

Get puzzle answer key and visuals in the printables library

HOW TO PLAY:

Tell the kids that as you sing a phrase, they will need to try and figure out which words goes in the corresponding crossword part (1, 2, 3, etc.). Point to the first crossword piece and sing the first phrase of the song (they can sing along if they know the words). Ask the kids if they figured out which words work to fit the squares. If they don't know, repeat the phrase and add just a bit more emphasis on the words. (Ex: First Phrase - FATHER & LIVES).

JUNIOR PRIMARY MODIFICATION - just use the pictures.

Add the pictures in a line on the board and have the kids guess which picture goes with which phrase.

Ex: Father - God

Loves - God hugging kid heart

Extension: Re-arrange the order and kids put in order as singing.
