How little Lord Jesus, on earth came to dwell - fingers make trinagle point held high over head then brought down and trace earth around with hands.
How in a far country, ’way over the sea - point out with finger then make waves with hand
Was born a wee baby, my dear one, like thee - motion over "big belly tummy" up and down then motion out (to "thee")
CHORUS - rock baby in arms back and forth
VERSE 2
The story was told by the angels so bright - arms out like wings move arms up and down
As round them was shining a heavenly light - twirl arm above head in circles
The stars shone out brightly, but one led the way - blinking fingers
And stood o’er the place where the dear baby lay - trace rainbow left to right side over head.
CHORUS - rock baby in arms back and forth
VERSE 3
The shepherds here found him, as angels had said - pretend to hold staff and move up and down to the beat
The poor little stranger, no crib for a bed - shake head no back and forth with "what" arms
