Everyone is always looking for simple, fun, easy ideas for song repetition. . .

Well, this is a pretty basic idea that won't take much time and works really well with the kids when you want to do lots of repetition.

A QUICK SUMMARY OF HOW TO PLAY:

A little stuffed parrot is “Pete” and a kids hand puppet parrot (or parrot on a stick), is “Repeat.” You can also give stick figure parrots to each child. “Pete” (your parrot) sings a short phrase then “Repeat” (kids’ parrots) sing it back.

WHAT YOU NEED:

A parrot hand puppet

OR

Parrot Stick puppets (great for Jr. Primary - or Sr)

Clothespin Parrot puppets (great for Sr. Primary)

Popsicle sticks

Clothespins

Glue

INSTRUCTIONS (for parrot figures on popsicle sticks):

Print and cut out the parrot figures. Glue the full-figure parrots on a popsicle stick.

And, you're done. Let dry and you are ready to use. Let students hold up as they repeat what you sing to them.
