HOW TO MAKE:
You can make your crocodile as you see fit but, here is what I did:
1) Draw out the rounded end of the crocodile's mouth on a piece of paper. Cut it out and use as a pattern.
2) Trace the rounded end on two pieces of green paper. Cut out.
3) Attach the rounded ends to other green paper with tape and trim down to make the same size. (How many papers you add
depends on how big/long you want the
mouth to be).
4) Glue the green mouth strips on to poster board and cut out.
5) Cut enough triangles ("teeth") to fit across 2/3 of each of the mouth pieces.
6) Attach to the mouth with tape. Then glue both mouth sections on to poster board to reinforce.
7) Cut out a circle and fill in a smaller black circle with the marker or crayon for the eye then attach to the top left side of the top mouth strip.
8) Overlap the two left side strip ends and attach with a large brass fastener so the mouth can open and close while not coming fully apart (as in the picture to the left).
Open the mouth wider to have the kids sing louder and close it to have them sing softer.
Invite helpers up to use Crescendo Crocodile as well.
