Using the "Jesus was Baptized" play mat pages, as you read through the account of Jesus being baptized - (Matthew 3:11, 13–17; Mark 1:9–11; Luke 3:15–16, 21–22); have the kids listen for the answers to the questions and match the answer bubbles to the question bubbles.
Then, tell the kids to listen or sing along to the second verse of “I Like My Birthdays.”
To be baptized as Jesus was
By one who holds the priesthood true
And thus obey God’s holy laws
Is just the thing I want to do.
Ask the kids how they will we be baptized (or how they were baptized) if they are/were baptized the same way Jesus was? (By immersion-going all the way under the water- and by someone with priesthood authority - see Aaronic Priesthood lesson idea suggestions in CFM Families).
Once all the question and answers have been matched, have your kids compare what you learn from the accounts of the Savior’s baptism with what happened during your baptisms (see picture chart below).

The Members of the Godhead are Three Separate Beings
“The Father has a body of flesh and bones … ; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost … is a personage of Spirit
(D&C 130:22).
The scriptures help us learn about each member of the Godhead. After you read each characteristic and scripture citation below, look up the reference to learn more about God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Then color the spaces in the picture as suggested after the scripture reference. The title, “The Godhead,” may be any color you choose. When you finish, outline the letters you see in black, and you will have a beautiful mosaic to hang in your room.

Godhead Song Activity
Divide the children into three groups. Have one group sing “I Know My Father Lives”; the second, “He Sent His Son”; the third, “The Holy Ghost” (pp. 5, 34, and 105, respectively, in the Children’s Songbook). After each group has sung, have them talk about the characteristics they discovered in their song about that member of the Godhead.

HOW TO PLAY:
Get a blind fold. Choose one child and have them go to the end of the room. Choose another child or adult to be the "Holy Ghost." Tell the child at one end of the room that their goal will be to get to the other side of the room with the help of the "Holy Ghost," who will whisper to them what to do. Have the child on one side of the room put on the blindfold. Then place some cardboard boxes, pillows, etc. along the way across the room. Have the "Holy Ghost" person stand close by the child walking and talk soft instructions on where to go.
Option A:
Let the child continue until they reach the other side, then take off the blindfold. Then have the kids name one or two ways the Holy Ghost helps lead and guide them. Repeat and let another child put on the blindfold and try, moving the items around to different spots than before. Then ask the kids again to name a couple more ways the Holy Ghost leads and guides them. Share real-life situations/stories with the kids about times the Holy Ghost helped people (see church resources for children page with a large list of stories). Option B:
While the child is trying to cross the room while listening to the whispers of the Holy Ghost, everyone else spreads around the room and using loud, distracting voices, try and make it so the blindfolded child can't hear the Holy Ghost. Once the child is across the room, talk about some of the influences that distract us from hearing the Spirit (also use the play mat folder game pages on "Tuning Into the Spirit.")

I am blessed by the ordinances of the Aaronic Priesthood. (PRIMARY, older)
Invite the children to make a list of Aaronic Priesthood duties, using Doctrine and Covenants 20:46, 58–60; 84:111. Ask the children to look in Matthew 3 for examples of John fulfilling some of these duties. What can we learn from John’s example about the purposes of the Aaronic Priesthood? How can all of us invite others to come unto Christ, as John did?
Display some pictures of Aaronic Priesthood holders performing the ordinances of baptism and the sacrament (see Gospel Art Book, nos. 103–4, 107–8). Discuss how these ordinances prepare us to receive Jesus Christ and the blessings of His Atonement.
Read together Doctrine and Covenants 13:1, and testify that John the Baptist restored the Aaronic Priesthood to Joseph Smith. Ask the children how they have been blessed because the Aaronic Priesthood was restored.
