I'll Walk with You - use disability cards to reinforce that God loves all His children and we should too. (Cards available in the printables library).
Use the I am a Child of God folder game and let the kids make matches of children from different nations. Reinforce the idea that no matter where we come from or what we look like, we are all children of God.
LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING
Get two boxes, one wrapped super nice and one with no wrapping paper, really beat up and ugly taped. Ask the kids which one they want. (Before hand, place some dirt in the pretty box and a treat for everyone (to share at the end of the lesson) in the other. Let the kids open both boxes and related to the lesson on how we shouldn't judge just by the outward appearance. Read 1 Samuel 16:7 "...God looketh on the heart."
The Judging play mat game is a great way to illustrate how we often misjudge and make assumptions about others simply based on how things look.

Thought: Do we ever fail to see the answer to our prayers because it doesn’t look the way we expected when it comes to us?

Answers don't always come quickly, no sir-ee....
Ex: Jacob worked 7 years to be able to marry the girl he loved but was tricked by her father and ended up working 7 more years after that to finally be able to marry her.
Answers aren't always what we expect...

Ex: The Israelites prayed for deliverance from their enemy, the Philistines. God sent David, a boy. NOT what the people expected.
Sometimes the answer is "Yes." ...

Ex: Enos prayed to be forgiven of his sins. God said yes, he was forgiven.
Sometimes the answer is "No."
Ex: Joseph prayed for God to save him from captivity but God said no. He had greater purposes and blessings in store for him that would only come about through Joseph's captivity.
Sometimes God doesn't answer for a while.
